Our special education program has been awarded a grant from Educate Fairfax for their project, Let’s Get Cookin’!  Each week they use a visual recipe and work together to create a different dish.  Students learn and practice so many skills in the areas of reading, math, fine motor, communication, and teamwork.  They’ve made foods from applesauce to grilled cheese to homemade butter.  The students are always engaged and excited to try new experiences!
