End of Year SMARTR Outcome – Language Arts

By the end of the school year, Belle View Elementary will decrease the percentage of students reading below grade level expectations by 5% as assessed by the DRA2.

Strategy 1: Teachers will utilize student assessment data and FCPS PPG documents to plan responsive instruction to target student needs.

Strategy 2: A Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS) will be utilized to integrate a continuum of differentiated, evidenced-based academic, behavioral, and student wellness practices.

End of Year SMARTR Outcome – Mentoring Program

By the end of the 2019-2020 school year, we will increase the number of students participating in our school-based mentoring program by 10% as measured by the previous year’s data.

Strategy 1: We will provide teachers with strategies for developing effective student-teacher relationships and a supportive classroom culture.

Strategy 2: Belle View teachers will provide personalized support to individual students who are flagged as at-risk or high-needs with regards to academic, behavioral or social/emotional progress or socio-economically disadvantaged. 

End of Year SMARTR Outcome – Project-Based Learning

By the end of the 2019-2020 school year, all students will participate in at least two Project Based Learning activities.

Strategy 1: Ensure that students have access to rigorous academic content and the support they need to be successful.

Strategy 2: Prepare students with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage in collaborative learning.
